The Entrepreneur Mindset: Yes, It Really Is All In Your Head
To be a successful entrepreneur, you have to have the entrepreneur mindset. That is to say, you need to condition your mind to stop thinking that what you're doing is just a hobby. Instead, think of it as a career. What better way to do that than to start with some self-improvement?
Dabbling in network marketing is enough to "wet the beak", as the saying goes, but in order to realize the full potential of any enterprise, you must also apply your full potential.
Your Greatest Asset is You
Success does not come easy. You have to have hard work and tons of luck. When opportunity comes a'knocking, you have to give it your best shot. As they say, nothing worth winning is won by half measures.
You are the asset whose worth will not plummet. What capital you have invested into educating yourself will therefore increase your value several times over. You are also the only perennial asset - everyone and everything else can simply be replaced.
Work for It
Everyone can always use a few tweaks and a little fine-tuning, and there is always something new that can be learned everyday. Getting the entrepreneur mindset is not something that you wake up one day completely equipped with.
Read up on books that can enhance your entrepreneur mindset. After all, knowledge comes from reading. You might want to pick a few of these titles to get your started:
- How to Make Millions with Your Ideas: An Entrepreneur's Guide (Dan Kennedy)
- Tim Ferriss' 4-Hour Workweek
- Rich Dad's Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad
- Magic Words that Bring You Riches (Ted Nicholas)
- No B.S. Time Management for Entrepreneurs by Dan Kennedy
- Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill)
- 10 Natural Laws of Successful Time and Life Management by Hyrum Smith
- Seth Godin's Meatball Sunday and Others
- Reality Check (Guy Kawasaki)
- Mike Michalowicz's Toilet Paper Entrepreneur
You might also try attending seminars, or browsing the Web to get into the entrepreneur mindset. Ask yourself if network marketing really is the venture for you. More often than not, things just can't work if your heart, as well as your entrepreneur mindset, are not truly in it.
